3 Ways to show love this Valentine’s Day

The weeks leading up to valentine's day are jam packed with ads, posts, and sales pushing people to buy, buy, buy things to express their love to themselves or their partners. Not saying gifts are bad by any stretch, but there are many ways to show you love someone, and buying things doesn’t have to be the only way.  We want to turn the table and offer you a new approach. We are big believers in using what you already have and thinking outside of the box, so we decided to create a list of a few simple ways you can use what’s already within your reach to show love for little to no money.

  1. Clean your home.

And we mean CLEAN your home. We’re talking washing your sheets, laundry clean and put away, shoes back in the closet instead of by the door, kitchen trash to the curb. Finish off your cleaning with a lit candle, a nice “everything” shower (hair washed, body scrubbed and exfoliated, you know the kind), and then get your favorite takeout. A guaranteed crowd pleaser. Nothing compares to the peace that comes along with a clean home, a clean, cozy self, and good food in front of you. As we always say, Less Mess, Less Stress, lots of love (okay that last part we just added on).

Feeling overwhelmed in where to start cleaning? Here’s what we do. If you still feel overwhelmed, email us a quick video of your home and we’ll create a step by step to cleaning your home so you feel ready to tackle it.

  2. Get your car cleaned.

Take it through your local car wash… make it as easy as the $10 basic wash, then vacuum, wipe down, and shine that automobile. We recommend this album in your headphones while you do so. The key to my heart is a clean car, man, if my partner took my car for a wash and inside clean, I’d be done for.

  3. Organize a small area in your house that you’ve been stressed about.

    • If you have a loved one you want to treat, send them out to do a favorite thing of theirs while you organize. Could be a day at an art museum, coffee and a walk in the park, or maybe a massage and lunch.

    • If you’re treating yourself, start by making your favorite beverage, turn on your favorite show or movie, and honey, organize your little heart out.

However you decide to celebrate, we hope your Valentine’s Day has little mess and little stress
